GOL Departmental Reports

The Government of Canada is transforming the way it operates through the implementation of Government On-Line (GOL). However, GOL is more than putting existing services on line. It is fundamentally about serving Canadians better by using information and communications technologies to provide faster, more convenient and responsive services.

The Government of Canada is committed to reporting to Canadians on its GOL progress and plans. Departments and agencies started publicly reporting on their progress and on-line service delivery plans in fall 2001. The departmental reports outline achievements to date in advancing the government on-line initiative, as well as highlighting plans for future work.

It is important to recognize current plans are evolving. Plans will be adjusted to reflect the experience and lessons learned as GOL capacity grows in each department and agency.
