SDGO Synergy Award 2004/2005
Call for Nominations
Synergy is defined as "a cooperative interaction among groups that creates an enhanced, combined effect ...the interaction of two or more forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects."
In 2003, the Atlantic Sustainable Development in Government Operations (SDGO) Working Group developed a recognition program to acknowledge and promote accomplishments achieved through collaborative efforts by Provincial and Federal Governments. Once again, the call for nominations for the 2004/2005 Atlantic SDGO Synergy Award will be sought from January 18 - February 20, 2006 for those who collaborated or partnered on a project, program or initiative from January 1, 2004 to April 1, 2005 to further the Sustainable Development agenda.
The degree of success in embedding sustainability within Atlantic Canada is completely dependent on our ability and will to collaborate within government and between governments. This award recognizes those who have realized the need to engage with others, and have gone that extra step to further the SD agenda.
