JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Student Border Services Officers will assist in the promotion of compliance with Canada’s border and trade legislation and regulations through quality service, education, enforcement and intercepting prohibited goods and inadmissible people entering Canada.

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION OF POSITION: Various locations across Canada

SELECTION PROCESS BEGINS: Year round

DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT: Various

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Various linguistic profiles

FIELDS OF STUDY: Various, although preference may be given to: criminology, law and security, law and enforcement or business administration.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Various skills required

ADDITONAL INFORMATION / CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

1. Applicants must: successfully complete the Border Services Officer Test; have a valid driver’s licence; a willingness to work shifts, flexible hours, weekends and statutory holidays; and be available to work overtime.
2. Students must be able to obtain and maintain a Reliability Security assessment.
