JOB DESCRIPTION:
Tax Policy Researcher (economist): Participates in planning and developing assessments, evaluations, and policy research on tax provisions; provides analytical and quantitative expertise in developing appropriate methodologies, models and statistics for analyzing the fiscal, economic and social impacts of tax provisions.

Tax Policy Researcher (lawyer): Performs technical research in support of the development of tax policy and potential legislative changes to the Income Tax Act; considers and responds to recommendations for change to the law from government agencies and the public.

Tax Policy Researcher (lawyer) – Various skills for each position

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Tax Policy Researcher (economist) Candidates must be enrolled full-time in a graduate economics degree program at either a Master's or Doctorate level, have a high academic standing and be continuing in that program after Summer 2006 and must have completed courses in micro-economic theory or taxation or public finance at the graduate level.

Tax Policy Researcher (lawyer)Candidates must be enrolled in the second or third year of Civil Law or Common Law, have a high academic standing, and must have completed two income tax courses.
