Supplier registration

Useful Tips Instructions

To register as a linguistic services supplier with the Translation Bureau, you must:

  • register your business or firm with the Contracts Canada Supplier Registration Information service to obtain a Procurement Business Number (PNB) for each office of your company that may be awarded a contract;
  • register as a linguistic services supplier with the Translation Bureau and include the document provided to you by the Supplier Registration Information service.

You may register your business or firm with the Contracts
Canada Supplier Registration Information Service via the
Internet or by phone at 1-800-811-1148, or 819-956-3440 in the National Capital Region. Registration for a PBN should only take a few minutes of your time.

To do so, you require:

  • your Canada Customs and Revenue Agency
    (CCRA) Business Number (first 9 digits of your GST or HST number)
  • the exact spelling of your company's legal name

When registering over the Internet, make sure to remember your user name and password. Once your account has been activated, immediately complete step 2 or your file will show as "Inactive" and will not be accessible.

Once you have the required profile and your PBN, you will be ready to register as a linguistic services supplier with The Translation Bureau. Please note your PBN at the appropriate heading in the registration form and forward as proof the document provided to you by the Supplier Registration Information service.

For more information regarding your registration in the Bureau's Inventory, please contact Francine Lavigne by e-mail or by telephone at (819) 997-3532. We would like to remind you that Ms. Lavigne will not be able to help you obtain a PBN.
