My Employment Insurance (EI) Information on-line - Privacy Notice and Disclaimer

Please read the following privacy notice statement and disclaimer and click on "I accept" at the bottom of the page to access "My EI Information on-line" service.

The information requested is needed for you to access and use the My Information on-line service. Since your privacy is important to us, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) will confirm your identity by matching the information you submit on the Login page with information contained in our Employment Insurance records. 

The collection and use of personal information by HRSDC for this service is authorized by the Employment Insurance Act (EI) and is used to display the status of your claim and current claim information, update your mailing address or telephone number, and if you wish, to register the direct deposit. HRSDC may also use your information for policy analysis, research and/or evaluation purposes, which may require that various sources of information under the custody and control of HRSDC and Social Development Canada (SDC) be linked. In certain instances, the EI Act allows HRSDC to disclose information without your consent for purposes not outlined in this Privacy Notice Statement. 

Your personal information is described in the following Personal Information Banks: HRDC PPU 150, "Insurance Claim File-Local Office" and/or HRDC PPU 293, "Employment Benefits and Support Measures" and will be used and disclosed in accordance with the conditions listed therein and retained for the period of time required by the Employment Insurance Act. 

The information you provide is protected under the Privacy Act, which states that you have the right to access your personal information and request changes to incorrect information.  Please write to the Privacy Coordinator in your region if you would like to access or correct your personal information, or require clarification about this notice.
