| Minister of International Trade - James Scott Peterson Jim Peterson was first elected to the House of Commons in 1980. He won his second term in the 1988 general election and has been a member of the House since then. In 2003, he was appointed Minister of International Trade. He served as Secretary of State (International Financial Institutions) from June 1997 until January 2002. Between 1993 and 1997, Mr. Peterson was Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance. Previously, he served as Parliamentary Secretary to three Ministers. |

| Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade with special emphasis on Emerging Markets - Mark Eyking Since his election to the House of Commons in November 2000, Mr. Eyking has been a member of the Liberal Rural Caucus and was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Caucus Task Force on Future Opportunities in Agriculture. In 2003, he was named Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. Mr. Eyking also served on the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food, and on the Subcommittee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade. |
