Dialogue on Canada's Social Policies — Early Learning and Child Care

WINDSOR, ONTARIO—Social Development Minister Ken Dryden will meet today with southwestern Ontario community representatives with an interest in early learning and child care to hear their views on issues related to early learning and child care.

"It's important to understand the priorities of Canadians as we work toward an agreement with the provinces and territories to implement an early learning and child care system," said Minister Dryden. "The best way to do this is to listen."

The discussion is part of the Government of Canada's ongoing engagement of citizens, communities, other levels of government, and the social and private sector in shaping Canada's social policy.

Social Development Canada is committed to strengthening Canada's social foundations by supporting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities through citizen-focused policies, programs, and services.
