What is new/changed?

Technical amendments to Commissioner's Directive 566 - Prevention of Security Incidents

Why was the policy changed?

As a result of a recent court ruling, section 71 of the CCRR was found to be ultra vires of the CCRA and references to this section are being removed from the Authorities for CD 566 Prevention of Security Incidents.

What is the purpose of the change?

To be consistent with changes in law as a result of a court decision.

Who will be affected by the policy?

CSC staff involved in urinalysis testing in institutions and inmates convicted under section 40 (k) of the CCRA.
