New security procedures
at pre-board screening (PBS)
checkpoints

New security procedures have been implemented
at pre-board screening (PBS) checkpoints across
Canada:

  • Have all necessary documents ready before you reach the airline check-in counter. This includes Government-issued photo ID for national flights and your passport for international flights. If you have any questions or concerns regarding travel documentation, please contact your airline.

  • Once you have completed check-in at the airline counter and have your boarding pass, please proceed to the screening checkpoint promptly, especially during peak times (early morning, noon, suppertime). Avoid the rush!

  • Please have your boarding pass ready when approaching the screening officer at the pre-board screening checkpoint.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Keep your carry-on baggage with you at all times. Never lose sight of your baggage.
