Electronic Devices

Electronic devices are
screened using special
screening equipment

Electronic devices, such as portable computers,
cellular phones and CD players, may be screened
using special screening equipment. This procedure will not
harm your electronic devices. Here are some helpful tips to speed up the process at the pre-board screening checkpoint:

  • Take your portable computer out of its carrying case and place it in a tray with other electronic devices you may be carrying (i.e. cellular phone, CD player);

  • Place other non-electronic articles (i.e. keys, loose change) in a separate tray;

  • In most circumstances, electronic devices do not need to be turned on. Electronic devices may be screened using special screening equipment. Nonetheless, you should always be prepared to turn them on if asked by a pre-board screening officer.
