Christmas Lights in Canada's Capital RegionLaunched in 1985 by the NCC, Christmas Lights Across Canada is one of a host of unique programs that was created to liven up the winter months. Originally only Parliament Hill was illuminated, but the program has grown to include 16 NCC sites and over 51 other sites along Confederation Boulevard.

One of the most significant achievements of the NCCs Christmas Lights Across Canada program is the way it brings Canadians together and links the Capital region with Canadas 13 provinces and territories. This nationwide cooperative effort illuminates the country from Pacific to Atlantic with hundreds of thousands of holiday lights.

Thanks to the support of its many partners in the Capital region and in the provincial and territorial capitals, Christmas Lights Across Canada has created a tradition of collaboration and goodwill among all Canadians.
