Biking in Gatineau ParkAre you looking for trails to give your cardiovascular system and muscles a workout while testing your sense of balance? Or perhaps you’re just looking for some relaxing trails where you can enjoy the scenery in the heart of the forest.

Mountain biking enthusiasts are very well taken care of in Gatineau Park, with 90 kilometres of trails that follow the main roads. The trails begin at the entrance to the Park and stretch to Philippe Lake.

To ensure that this activity does not adversely affect the Park, only the following trails are available for mountain biking.

Chelsea sector trails:

1, 1B, *2, 4, 15, 24, 25, 26, *29, 30, *36, 40

Philippe Lake sector trails:

50, 51, 52, *53, 54, 55, 56
* Access to only one section of the trail. Mountain biking may be practised in Gatineau Park from May 15 to November 30. It is not permitted on cross-country ski trails during the winter.

Vehicle-access fees are in effect in certain areas (at parking lots of Meech, Philippe and La Pêche lakes as well as Mackenzie King Estate).
