Students join the fictional cyber character as he slides his way back in time in the National Capital Time Machine. He leads students through various historical events: the construction of the Rideau Canal in 1826; the choice of Ottawa as Canada's Capital by Queen Victoria in 1857; the building of Parliament in 1860; the beautification of Ottawa under Prime Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier in 1899; the destruction of Parliament in the fire of 1916; Ottawa's coming of age between 1919 and 1939; the Centennial celebrations of 1967; and Ottawa's present-day status as a great world capital. The Time-Travel Adventure includes a series of interactive on-line activities related to what students have learned about their national Capital.
