The NCC maintains a geographically referenced mapping database of its assets in the Capital region, and you can buy orthographic images in digital and paper formats.

Digital Orthographic Image Mapping

Digital orthophotos are aerial photographs that have been scanned into digital format, then processed and “rectified” to remove any perspective effects resulting from uneven terrain. In other words, a photo is stretched, squeezed, rotated and twisted so that all locations on the photo correspond to a particular geographic coordinate location.

We have high-resolution digital imagery of all of the lands owned, managed or maintained by the NCC. The images are available in both digital and traditional paper formats, with a real-world resolution of  ¼ metre. This data set is updated every three years in the greater urban centre and in Gatineau Park.
