Environmental Response (ER)
Environmental Response training courses, presented at the Coast Guard College and across Canada by the College ER training staff, concentrate on the crucial elements involved in a Maritime Oil Spill Response. ER courses are strategically designed to build on the knowledge acquired in the previous courses. Refresher training and practical exercises make up the principal components of the training. Raising awareness and providing information to the spill response community and the public is another important role of the ER division. Training is open to government departments as well as private sector individuals that may be involved in an oil spill response.
ER Courses Include The Following:
- IMO-Level 2A for On-Scene Commanders
- Marine Oil Spill Shoreline Workers' Safety
