Conference Facilities

Services Available At The CGC:

1. Dine in our Galley - Enjoy our home-style cooking in our informal, cafeteria-style setting. In the summer we offer barbecues and outside patio with café tables and chairs. Please click Galley on left side of your screen for more information.
2. The Lighthouse Lounge is the place to relax after the conference.
3. Planetarium - The Coast Guard College has the only permanent Planetarium on Cape Breton Island. It is a 16-foot diameter fibreglass dome that is outfitted with a new Starlab Projector and nine myelin cylinders.
4. Medical Service: A VON (Victorian Order of Nurses) is on site Monday to Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. First Aid Kits are conveniently located through out the College. Also available are Automated External Defibrillators.
5. Complimentary laundry rooms are located on each of the accommodation wings. (Detergent is available at cadet's canteen)
6. Our staff is bilingual
7. Complimentary parking is available
8. Complimentary shuttle service to and from downtown is available.
9. The CGC Conference staff has an in-depth knowledge of local destinations and venues as well as the area service providers. We also offer a "one stop shop" where all your questions can be answered.
