Since its opening in the early 1960s, the Coast Guard College (CGC) has evolved into a dynamic, multifarious complex, which has everything your organisation needs, plus lots of the extras, to make your conference a success. Located in beautiful Cape Breton, the college is a choice location for visitors who want to explore the Island's Celtic, Acadian French and Mi'kmaw traditions. "The Cape", renowned for its fusion of culture and hospitality, offers some of the most breathtaking landscape in the world. As you wind your way around the Cabot Trail, through the many hiking trails and along the Island's rugged coastline, we are certain you'll be pleased that you selected the Coast Guard College as your Conference destination.

Situated on a 120-acre parcel of land; the CGC is an unparalleled location when it comes to charm, privacy, and security. Crawley's Creek traverses the property, which is enclosed by a screen of trees. A 2.4 kilometre-nature trail crosses over an arch bridge and gives way to a superb view of the basin. At the heart of the complex, and amid a plethora of rhododendrons and manicured evergreens is an open air, redbrick courtyard. From alfresco garden receptions to exciting theme parties, when it comes to social events, the CGC Galley staff can orchestrate a menu that will dazzle your palate. For your security there are around-the-clock commissionaires stationed at the entranceway gatehouse and in the CGC buildings. For added safety, a photo-id system has been put into place. The CGC's Wellness Centre provides an excellent recreational centre for visitors, with its 25-metre swimming pool,  squash court, gymnasium and a fitness room. For winter guests a complimentary assortment of sport equipment is available.
