Marine Communications and Traffic Service (MCTS)

The following courses are available from the MCTS Section:

• Distress Procedures Course - A two-week course for shore-based Radio Operators, VTS Operators and RCC Officers with distress communications experience.
• Global Marine Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) - A two-week course for all Coast or Ship Officers.
• Traffic Procedures Course - A one-week course for participants presently, or expecting to be, involved in VTS operations.
• Vessel Traffic Services Operator Course (International) - A three-week course designed for individuals expecting to be involved in VTS operations and/or training.
