Technical Evaluation Of Automatic-Type Transmissions For The Heavy Truck Market
View as: HTML PDF

Since the release of the FleetSmart Technical Evaluation of Automatic-type Transmissions for the Heavy Truck Market we continue to have dialogue with the fleets who are still using the semi-automatic transmissions. It appears the success rate with the semi-automatic 18 speed is great; the problem seems to be with the 10 speed product. The RPM range is apparently too large for the 10 to work properly. Some have reported problems on hills of 1 to 2 kilometers in length.
