The Sussex Courtyards were used as recreational areas, alleyways, storage sites and parking areas until the NCC restored the Sussex buildings and converted these courtyards into beautiful interior pedestrian spaces.
The Sussex Courtyards are in the heart of downtown Ottawa, adjoining the vibrant ByWard Market and popular Sussex Drive. They are frequently discovered by way of adjacent cafés, boutiques and restaurants, and include:
- Clarendon Court
- York Court
- Clarendon Lanes
- Jeanne d’Arc Court
- Tin House Court
- Beaux Arts Court
