In 2000 there were 1,991 reported accidents, 1,340 mandatorily reported incidents, 575 voluntarily reported incidents, 212 fatalities.
In 2001 there were 1,960 reported accidents, 1,448 mandatorily reported incidents, 643 voluntarily reported incidents, 210 fatalities.
In 2002 there were 1,813 reported accidents, 1,377 mandatorily reported incidents, 660 voluntarily reported incidents, 190 fatalities.
In 2003 there were 1,972 reported accidents, 1,390 mandatorily reported incidents, 672 voluntarily reported incidents, 172 fatalities.
In 2004 there were 1,935 reported accidents, 1,476 mandatorily reported incidents, 680 voluntarily reported incidents, 185 fatalities.

Figure 2 - Investigations Started / In Progress / Completed
In 2000-2001 there were 113 investigations started, 176 investigations in progress and 87 completed.
In 2001-2002 there were 94 investigations started, 159 investigations in progress and 111 completed.
In 2002-2003 there were 89 investigations started, 139 investigations in progress and 109 completed.
In 2003-2004 there were 76 investigations started, 142 investigations in progress and 73 completed.
In 2004-2005 there were 74 investigations started, 108 investigations in progress and 98 completed.

In 2000 there were 527 marine reported accidents, 248 mandatorily reported incidents and 31 fatalities.
