Enroll in Direct Deposit
The Direct Deposit service is useful to our clients who hold regular interest bonds, be it the Canada Savings Bond (CSB) or the Canada Premium Bond (CPB). Their annual interest payments can be deposited directly into their bank account. Payroll customers and The Canada RSP holders can also take advantage of this service and have their redemption proceeds automatically deposited into their bank account. This is the easiest, safest and fastest way to receive your funds.
Regular interest CSB or CPB owners
Please provide a completed Direct Deposit Information Form S839. You can also get the Form S839 wherever you bank or invest.
Payroll Savings Plan holders
Please provide a completed Direct Deposit Information Form PSPDD/05.
The alternative to these 2 forms is to provide:

a void blank personalized (bank imprinted) cheque; and |

If you are a regular interest CSB or CPB owner, a letter indicating your Canada Savings Bonds Customer ID and/or the bond numbers, the series and the denominations; |

If you are Payroll Savings Plan holder, a letter indicating your Plan number. |

Please note that all registered bond owners must be named on the deposit account. This bank account information will replace any previous payment instructions you have given to the Bank of Canada.

Your request should include a void blank personalized (bank imprinted) cheque and your Canada RSP or Canada RIF plan number.

An authorized representative may sign on behalf of a registered bond owner, if a certified true copy of the document(s) indicating his/her official capacity has been provided. Fax and/or photocopies will not be accepted. Please mail certified true copies with the Direct Deposit request to the address above. |

A client will need to submit individual requests, if he wishes to adhere to DD for more than one type of product, by using the appropriate documents listed above. |
