Indian Registration, Membership and Population Change in First Nations Communities: January 27, 2006
As a consequence of the 1985 Indian Act changes to the rules governing Indian registration and the adoption by many First Nations of membership rules which differ from those governing Indian registration, the populations of most First Nations in Canada are undergoing significant transformations.
