dated 20 December 2005 and 20 January 2006 relating
to a public hearing commencing on 21 February 2006 at
9:30 a.m., Metropolitan Conference Centre, 333 Fourth Avenue
South West, Calgary, Alberta, the Commission announces the
following change. The deadline for submission of interventions/comments
for this application is extended to 6 February 2006.
Replies to the interventions/comments received as a result of
this change may be filed by 13 February 2006. |
|
DUE TO CONCERNS RAISED BY NAV CANADA
RELATING TO INTERFERENCE WITH AERONAUTICAL NAV/COM SERVICES IN CALGARY,
THE FOLLOWING APPLICANT HAS REQUESTED A CHANGE TO THEIR ORIGINAL
PARAMETERS. THE FOLLOWING ITEM IS THEREFORE AMENDED AND THE CHANGES ARE
IN BOLD. |
|
Correction to Item No. 2 |
|
Calgary, Alberta
Application No. 2005-0894-7 |
|
Application by CHUM Limited for a licence
to operate an English-language FM commercial radio programming
undertaking in Calgary. |
|
The new station would operate on frequency
90.3 MHz (channel 212C1) with an average effective
radiated power of 45,000 watts (maximum effective radiated power of
100,000 watts/antenna height of 160 metres). |
|
The 90.3 MHz frequency is technically
mutually exclusive with the application submitted by Jim Pattison
Broadcast Group Ltd. (the general partner) and Jim Pattison Industries
Ltd. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Jim Pattison
Broadcast Group Limited Partnership, proposing the use of frequency 90.3
MHz (item 6). |
|
Please note that the Commission will
consider the interventions already received, accepted and filed on
the public file for Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2005-11. |
|
Further to this amendment, the
Commission will accept interventions that only relate to the change in
technical parameters. |
