The Commission will hold a public hearing
commencing on 19 April 2004 at 9:00 a.m., at the Commission
Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec, to consider
the following applications. The intervention deadline is 25 March 2004. |

The applicant requests to be relieved from the
requirement of Section 17(1)(c) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations
to distribute the services of local priority programming CJNT-TV (IND) and
CKMI-TV-1 (Global) Montréal, Quebec. |

The applicant proposes to distribute the CIII-TV
(Global) Paris signal via satellite instead of the priority signal CKMI-TV-1
(Global) Montréal. |

The applicant proposes to charge a monthly fee
of $8.00 for the basic service. |

The Commission will only proceed with this

at least twenty days prior to the hearing, that acceptable technical

The licensee proposes to change the authorized
contours by increasing the average effective radiated power from 406 to 7,200
watts and by increasing the effective antenna height (maximum effective
radiated power 30,000 watts/effective antenna height 169.2 metres). |

The licensee wishes to increase the quality of
the CFLZ-FM signal to better serve listeners located in
St. Catharines/Niagara area. |

The authorized contour of the station would be
increased significantly resulting from the proposed increase in power
and an increase in transmitter height. |
|
