2. |
London, Ontario
Application No. 2005-1198-2
|
|
Application by Sound of
Faith Broadcasting to amend the licence of radio programming
undertaking CHJX-FM London. |
|
The licensee proposes to amend
the licence by changing the frequency from 105.9 MHz (channel 290LP) to
98.1 MHz (channel 251A). The licensee also proposes to change the
authorized contours by increasing the effective radiated power from 10
to 500 watts and by decreasing the antenna height. |
|
The Commission notes that the
authorized contours of the station will be increased significantly
resulting from the proposed technical changes. |
|
The Commission also notes that
the increase in power would result in a change of the CHJX-FM
status from a low power unprotected service to a regular Class A1
service. |
|
The licensee wishes to increase
the quality of the signal of the station. |

Victoria, British Columbia
Application No. 2005-1211-2 |
|
Application by Rogers
Broadcasting Limited relating to the licence of television
programming undertaking CHNU-TV Fraser Valley, British Columbia, known
as OMNI BC. |
|
The licensee proposes to change
the authorized contour of its transmitter authorized in CHNU-TV
Fraser Valley, CIIT-TV Winnipeg – Acquisition of assets, new transmitter
in Victoria, and new licences, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2005-207.
The change to the authorized contours would result from the relocation
of the transmitter, the decrease of the antenna height and the increase
of the average effective radiated power from 720 watts to 17,000 watts
(maximum effective radiated power 17,700 watts/antenna height of 99.6 metres).
|
|
The licensee indicates that the
new site will improve the potential reliability of the OMNI BC signal
and improve efficiencies in the construction of the antenna site. |
|
The authorized contours of the
transmitter will be modified resulting from the relocation of the
transmitter site, the increase in power and decrease in antenna height. |
