Make a gift that could help ease the pain of millions!

Opening a gift is a joyful experience – unless you are one of the millions of Canadians living with arthritis. Delight can quickly turn into pain as swollen and aching fingers struggle to unwrap a gift. It’s just one of the everyday tasks that can be difficult, even agonizing.

For the one in six Canadians living with the daily agony of arthritis pain, your donation to The Arthritis Society is a gift of hope. Can we count on you to give today?

Thanks to your generosity this holiday season, we can work toward a day when simple tasks like opening a gift will no longer be wrapped in pain.

Please make your year-end gift to The Arthritis Society now. Simply select your region from the list below and donate today!

Dear Doctor:

I had both knees replaced in May 1995 at the age of 22. Now one knee is progressively becoming more painful and unstable. I know they give the replacements between 10 and 15 years. What are the signs to watch for? What can be done to postpone the inevitable revision surgery? What can I expect from the revision surgery?

"I'm 28 years old and as each year goes by it seems like all of the symptoms of AS are harder to deal with especially in the winter months," writes RickyB on the ankylosing spondylitis discussion board.

"I need TKR (total knee replacements) on both knees. I would like to get the whole thing over and done with in one shot, but I'm getting conflicting advice about the pros and cons," writes  mammamich on the osteoarthritis discussion board
