Electric-powered solar car Esteban

The electric-powered solar car named Esteban was created in 1998 by a group of 20 engineering students from École Polytechnique de Montréal. “It was such a wonderful experience to work on this project because we were involved from ‘cradle to grave’, said Hugo Careau who was 20 years old when he helped to build the car.

Able to attain speeds of up to 100km/hr, the solar car is made of carbon fiber, kevlar and aluminum.
