Eco-Action Stations are generally organizations that play a regional role: they relay information, lead activities in their communities and integrate and disseminate information.
The functions of Eco-Action Stations are to :

participate in or set un pone or more ecowatch projects

encourage new partners in their communities to participate

manage data and disseminate it to associated research centres and the Biosphère

manage equipment used for ecowatch projects

validate projects

raise the alarm by identifying local environmental problems

provide some answers to questions from the community

help raise the local population's awareness of environmental problems

open to the public

permanent staff

public-access computer station

space to distribute documents to the general public
