Eco-Action Stations

Eco-Action Stations are generally organizations that play a regional role: they relay information, lead activities in their communities and integrate and disseminate information.

The functions of Eco-Action Stations are to :

  • participate in or set un pone or more ecowatch projects

  • encourage new partners in their communities to participate

  • manage data and disseminate it to associated research centres and the Biosphère

  • manage equipment used for ecowatch projects

  • validate projects

  • raise the alarm by identifying local environmental problems

  • provide some answers to questions from the community

  • help raise the local population's awareness of environmental problems

  • open to the public

  • permanent staff

  • public-access computer station

  • space to distribute documents to the general public
