Canada Pavilion

The CANADA PAVILION, open to the general public throughout Montréal 2005: United Nations Climate Change Conference, offered visitors a great opportunity to learn more about Climate Change and what Canada is doing about it.

Canada PavilionSurrounded by beautiful nature scenes from across Canada, the pavilion had something for everyone - consumers, business people, academics, students and government representatives. Pavilion visitors could start in the UNDERSTANDING section and find out how Climate Change affects us. Then, the SOLUTIONS section allowed visitors to explore ways to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The OPPORTUNITIES section showed how economies, societies and the environment can benefit now and in the future by taking action on climate change.
Knowledgeable staff provided answers to questions on federal government initiatives, partnerships, research and programs related to Climate Change. Click here for a
complete description of the programs at the Canada Pavilion.

While in the pavilion, visitors were also welcome to attend presentations at
LE ROND POINT, where they could try the interactive displays or register for one of the many tours around the city.
