National Headquarters of the Meteorological Services of Canada (MSC)

National Headquarters of the MSC The National Headquarters of the MSC is the main location of the Atmospheric and Climate Science Directorate's (ACSD) staff and laboratories. Our Address is: 4905 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Ontario, M3H 5T4, Canada

Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC)

Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC) The CMC is the main location for the Numerical Prediction Research Division and other components of the Meteorological Research Branch (MRB), the Air Quality Research Branch (AQRB), and the Climate Research Branch (CRB). Our Address is: 2121 Voie de Service Nord, No. 404 Route Transcanadienne, Dorval, PQ, H9P 1O3, Canada

Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis (CCCma)

Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis (CCCma)
(University of Victoria Campus) CCCma's location on the University of Victoria campus allows for cooperative work with the University of Victoria's School of Earth and Ocean Sciences (SEOS) to model the full climate system from the "bottom of the ocean" to the "top of the atmosphere". Our Address is:University of Victoria, 3964 Gordon Head Road, Room 267, Victoria B.C., V8N 3X3, Canada

The National Water Research Institute (Burlington)
The National Hydrology Research Institute (Saskatoon)

decorative image A Canada-wide program of research and development in water science is conducted at these sites in partnership with other national research facilities and the international freshwater scientific community. Our Address is:The National Water Research Institute 845 Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario, L7N 3P3, Canada
OR
The National Hydrology Research Institute 11 Innovation Boulevard, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 3H5, Canada

Bratt's Lake Station

Bratt's Lake Station Canada's Station within the World Climate Research Program's Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN). Measurements of atmospheric surface radiation, spectral radiation divergence, air chemistry and radioactivity are made at the site, with a focus on climate, particulate matter and human health issues. Our Location is:30 km SSW of Regina in Saskatchewan.

King Weather Radar Research Station

King Weather Radar Research Station The King Weather facility is home to both the Weather Radar Group and the King Nowcasting Group. The centrepiece of the facility is a C-Band Doppler weather radar that provides data for operational regional weather forecasting and for research on weather dynamics. Our Address is: 14780 Jane Street, King City, ON, L7B 1A3, Canada

The Centre for Atmospheric Experiments (CARE)

The Centre for Atmospheric Experiments (CARE) The CARE facility was designed as an integrated multi-disciplinary facility to promote atmospheric research. Care collects data for and provides support for the Integrated Atmospheric Deposition Network (IADN), the Canadian Mercury Network (CMN), and the National Atmospheric Chemistry (NAtChem) database. It is also classified as a CORE station for meteorological, particulate matter and trace gas measurements. Our Address is: RR1, Egbert, On, L0L 1N0, Canada

The Alert Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) Observatory

The Alert Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) Observatory
As a GAW station, the Alert Observatory is the site of measurements for background mixing ratios of atmospheric trace gases and particulate matter. These measurements, combined with those from other international baseline sites, provide scientists with information about the variability and long- term trends of these chemicals in the atmosphere on a global scale. Our Location is: (82*27'N, 62*31'W) on the edge of the Lincoln Sea (on the northeastern tip of Ellesmere Island, Nunavut) in the Canadian Arctic.

Arctic Stratospheric Ozone Observatory, Eureka, NT

Arctic Stratospheric Ozone Observatory, Eureka, NT As part of the global Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Change (NDSC), the observatory at Eureka is the site of stratospheric ozone measurements over Canada's high Arctic. The observatory enables scientists to keep a close watch on the protective ozone layer. The research at the observatory is a joint venture with Japan. Our Address is: Weather Station, Eureka, Nunavut, X0A 0G0, Canada

Camp Borden

Camp Borden
Camp Borden is located at the site of Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Borden. It is a measurement site for nitrous oxides, volatile organic compounds, ground level ozone, greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide and methane), and solar radiation. The central feature of the site is a fully instrumented 45-metre scaffolding tower for measurements within the forest canopy. Several huts and trailers on site house instruments and computers. Our Address is: Dry Deposition Research Centre, Camp Borden, c/o Meteorological Services of Canada, 4905 Dufferin Street, North York, Ontario, M3H 5T4

Dalhousie University (Oceanography Department)

decorative image The industrial research chair (in 'regional ocean modelling and prediction') at Dalhousie University has provided a means for the Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC) and the Oceanography Department at the University to co-operatively make progress in the areas of storm surge prediction, improved oil spill modelling, wave-modelling, severe weather prediction, and stream flow prediction. Dalhousie University is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

University of Toronto Campus, Institute for Environmental Studies

decorative image The Meteorological Service of Canada moved members of its Adaptation and Impacts Research Group (AIRG) to the University of Toronto campus. The group has an agreement to conduct collaborative research with U. of T. professors and students through the Institute for Environmental Studies. Their research focus includes impacts of climate change/variability and extreme events, adaptation and policy decisions in response to climate change, natural hazards, and human health & safety issues. Our Address is: 33 Willcocks Street, Suite 1016, in Toronto, Ontario. On the University of Toronto Campus

University of British Columbia, Sustainable Development Research Institute

decorative image The Meteorological Service of Canada's Adaptation and Impact Research Group and the Sustainable Development Research Institute are in partnership to explore environmental adaptation topics under the framework of sustainable development. Our Address is: 2329 West Mall in Vancouver, British Columbia. Located on the University of British Columbia's campus

University of Waterloo, Faculty of Environmental Studies

decorative image Researchers from the Meteorological Service of Canada's Adaptation and Impacts Research Group are based in the Faculty of Environmental Studies to encourage collaborative research on the social impact of climate change. Our Address is: 200 University Avenue West in Waterloo, Ontario. Located on the University of Waterloo's campus We have office in: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia B2Y 2N6
