WelcomeDear friends and colleagues: We would like to welcome you to the New Substances Programs homepage. This web site is intended to provide you with information on the New Substances Program under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999), a shared responsibility between Environment Canada and Health Canada. We invite you to visit our Multistakeholder consultation page. This page presents the outcomes of the multistakeholder consultations on various aspects of the New Substances Program, the New Substances Notification Regulations of CEPA 1999 and our progress in implementing the recommendations. Also, please visit our International Programs page.
