Fred Conway

Fred Conway is the senior policy advisor for issues related to ground-level ozone. His work involves science assessments and science updates on the atmospheric science and environmental effects of ground-level ozone and related components of smog, and includes science support for ongoing processes under the Canada-US Air Quality Agreement, Canada-wide standards, and for issues related to CEPA. He joined Environment Canada in 1972, and worked as an operational forecaster, and in operational development, with emphasis on computer applications, both with MSC-Downsview and with Ontario Region. After a one year stint with the then-developing Weatheradio network, he moved to the Region's Science Division in 1991, where he focused on air quality and its meteorological aspects. He joined the Science Assessment and Integration Branch in 2002.

Fred Conway has a BSc (Physics, Waterloo) and MSc (Meteorology, McGill).
