The Canadian UV/Ozone observational network consists of a twelve stations, of which three are located in the Arctic at Alert, Eureka, and Resolute Bay. Toronto, Churchill, Edmonton and Resolute Bay have observations dating back to 1957. Observations at the other nine stations were started in the late 1980s or the early 1990s. Observations from the Canadian Brewer Network are available in almost real-time. These are updated every 5 minutes.
Daily UV Index Observation (Brewer) Plots
The hourly UV Index observations are plotted throughout the day. The time is shown as a solar time. In this time scale the sun is in its highest position over the horizon exactly at noon.
The annual UV Index plots show the observed daily UV index values for each day of the current year up to yesterday.
