Abstract

The breeding ecology of the Horned Grebe Podiceps auritus was investigated on a 38-km² study area near Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (62° 27'N, 114° 22'W). Population size and productivity were monitored during 1986-1996. Other aspects of breeding biology were studied in 1986, 1989, 1991, and 1992.
