Abstract

Historical data on the number of nests and nesting success for 242 Great Blue Heron colonies in British Columbia from 1920 through 1999 were compiled. The methodologies for data collection differed over the years. We have developed and applied a standard methodology for collecting and interpreting nesting data to provide consistency for users of the data set.
