Meteorological Services and Business Policy BranchMeteorological Services and Business Policy Branch (MSBPB) of the Services, Client, and Partner Directorate (SCPD) is committed to promoting and delivering high quality meteorological services to the general public and private sectors. The mission of MSBPB is to ensure the provision of accurate weather services to Canadians for effective decision-making, and hence the improvement in societal and economical benefits as well as quality of life. The availability of service is ensured by the implementation of the state of the art warning delivery and dissemination technologies. The quality of service is promised by setting up standards for environmental forecast products, and is measured by a performance measurement system. The Branch also provides the national focus on special services and private sector relations, including cost recovered services (Tier III) as well as national policy development, functional leadership for the management of MSC revenues, and national leadership for marketing MSC products and services to some key client groups. To carry out these objectives, the Meteorological Services and Business Policy Branch is divided into five divisions.
