Welcome

The Migratory Birds Conservation Division of the Wildlife Conservation Branch of CWS provides scientific advice on the conservation of Canada's migratory birds to CWS management, to the Government of Canada, to wildlife agencies in Canada and other countries, and to the public. The Migratory Birds Conservation Division also coordinates the substantive input to the implementation of the Migratory Birds Convention and its associated Acts and Regulations. The Division plays a lead role in national bird conservation programs, and it maintains central databases on migratory birds for status reporting, program monitoring and evaluation, and public information.
