SECRETARY OF STATE PARADIS TO VISIT LATIN AMERICA

Media representatives are advised that Denis Paradis, Secretary of State for Latin America, Africa and La Francophonie, will visit Chile, Argentina and Uruguay from June 30 to July 8, where he will meet with officials and business people to discuss the political, economic and social relationship between Canada and these Latin American countries.

During his stay in Santiago, Secretary of State Paradis will also attend the official signing of a trade agreement concluded between a Canadian business and a Chilean company. In Argentina and Uruguay, he will participate in various round tables on democracy, justice, trade and culture.
