APPOINTMENT TO CANADIAN COMMERCIAL CORPORATION
International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew today announced the appointment of Alan R. Curleigh for a three-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC).
Since 1996, Mr. Curleigh has served as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Secretary and Member of the
Board of TESSAG KSH Ltd. From 1980 to 1996, he was a key negotiator for this company, which is a major
capital projects engineering contracting firm based in Montreal. Mr. Curleigh has been a member of the Board
of Directors of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters since 1996, and acted as Chair from 1999 to 2001.
He was also a member and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Exporters Association from
1988 to 1996.
The CCC is an export contracting agency that brings buyers and Canadian exporters together through contracts
built on the best possible terms and conditions. Since its inception, the CCC has provided assistance to
thousands of companies from across Canada, helping them close more than $30 billion in deals with foreign
governments and private sector buyers.
The CCC was established in 1946 by an Act of Parliament. It is a Crown corporation, wholly owned by the
Government of Canada, and offers a range of pre-contract, contract advisory and post-contract services.
