"Experience Canada: A Night of Canadian Seafood and Wine", the first ever Canadian Seafood and Wine promotion was successfully held in Shenzhen on September 21, 2005 during the visit of Mr. Leonard Edwards, Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Agri-food Canada, to South China.

Around 100 Chinese guests from the local seafood, wine and catering service industries and media contacts were impressed by Canadian fine wines and the healthy and high-quality Canadian seafood, such as geoduck, hokkigai, snow crab, oyster, salmon, blue mussel and whelk, etc.

The night event also featured a food preparation demo by the Canadian Chef, Thomas Chu.
