An Evolving National Focal Point for the Environmental Sciences in Canada

The Canadian Environmental Sciences Network is developing as a means for rejuvenating the Canadian environmental sciences community and increasing its cohesion. CESN aims to build on current areas of environmental networking in Canada, using a "network of networks" approach, to increase communication and develop a sense of collective direction. Unfolding on the basis of the knowledge and shared experiences of its growing partnerships, CESN intends to enhance and strengthen environmental science in Canada, in support of sustainable development.
