Contest Periods

Club Sky Periods for 2005-2006

Period 1: September 19 to December 2, 2005

A late start to the fall contest gives everyone time to install their equipment and get their observing program running.

The winter contest is short, so that it ends prior to any of the spring breaks.

Period 3: March 6 – May 19, 2006

The spring contest includes a one-week spring break period for everyone, no matter where their school is located. An earlier end to the contest on May 19 will give us time to determine the top Sky Watcher schools before the end of the school year.

As a bonus…

• send in your Sky Watchers reports using the Sky Watchers Web site at least five times in each of the three contest periods and receive free registration for next year.
• send in reports on 10 days in any period and qualify for our draw for a free weather ball barometer.
