Canada's Response to the Tsunami

Foreign Affairs Canada is working to help Canadian citizens at home and abroad affected by the crisis in South and Southeast Asia, as well as the east coast of Africa. For further information, consult the government-wide info page.

Emergency Contact Information

Canadians trying to reach relatives or friends
in the affected areas should contact the Emergency Operations Center toll-free in Canada at 1-800-387-3124. In Ottawa at (613) 943-1055

Canadians in the affected areas who wish to report on their safety should immediately contact the nearest consular office.
