Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on Addressing Climate Change

On May 21, 2004, the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on Addressing Climate Change.  The governments have agreed to pursue cooperation in the following priority areas:

  • Electricity supply and renewable energy;
  • Energy efficiency, conservation and fuels;
  • Environmental management;
  • Innovation and technology;
  • Land resources and agriculture;
  • Impacts and adaptation; and
  • Public awareness and education.
