Many of you have completed our questionnaire. The information obtained will help the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS)
establish priorities and define Levels of Service (LOS) that best balance CHS resources and client needs.
The compiled results are very positive. The respondents endorsed most of the proposed orientations except for those services
CHS had targeted for reduction. CHS will be attending the Canadian Marine Advisory Council (CMAC), Regional Marine
Advisory Councils and Regional Boating Advisory Councils to present a summary of the results.
CHS will continue to work on the establishment of LOS during the summer, guided by the questionnaire results. The Advisory
Panel will review the final draft LOS in Fall 2005 before the targeted publishing date for Spring 2006.
