The Afghanistan Board of Inquiry was called to investigate the injury and death of Canadian Forces personnel during live fire training at or near Kandahar, Afghanistan on or about 17 Apr 02.

OTTAWA – The Tarnak Farm Board of Inquiry (BOI) returned to Canada today late afternoon after spending 11 days in Afghanistan and in the Arabian Gulf region. The Board is investigating the April 17 accident that killed four, and injured eight, Canadian soldiers serving with the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (3 PPCLI) Battle Group.
