The Strategic Plan for the Implementation of section 41 of the Official Languages Act (OLA) — targeted programs

In September 2002, the Department of Justice has undertaken a strategic planning exercise on the implementation of section 41 of the OLA.

The development of a strategic plan included four phases :

  1. Internal and External Environmental Scan;
  2. Development of Immediate, Intermediate and Final Outcomes (results);
  3. Development of the Department's approach concerning the implementation of section 41 of the OLA;
  4. Development of the Results-Based Accountability Framework (RMAF).

Following the Departmental consultations in November 2002 and an environmental scan, five components from the Department of Justice were targeted by the communities. A Guide on Priority Programs has been developed.
