Passengers Travelling to the United States
The United States Transportation Security Administration has
announced some changes to its prohibited items list. Beginning
December 22, 2005, scissors with a cutting edge of four inches or
less and tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers smaller
than seven inches will be permitted on board aircraft departing
American airports.These items are still prohibited on aircraft
departing Canadian airports including flights to the United States.

Checked Baggage Screening
- As of January 1, 2006, tighter security screening will be
conducted on passengers’ checked baggage.
- Checked baggage containing items that are prohibited on board an
aircraft may be opened for further inspection.
- To ensure that your checked baggage does not contain prohibited
items, please refer to the websites below.
- Your assistance will help us expedite the checked baggage
screening process and will minimize the potential that your baggage
will be delayed.

Be Vigilant
- Protect your baggage
and personal belongings at all times.
- Never leave your baggage unattended as
it could be subject to tampering and/or theft.
- If you see unattended baggage or packages
in the airport terminal or parking area,
you must report it to airport security.

What you need to know:
